The Story So Far

March Lessons for Learning

1. You don't have to justify the things that bring you happiness. Unless it's drugs or incredibly unhealthy. Then, you're probably just seeking an escape. Or not. Who knows. Ask your therapist.

2. Don't make the mistake of using friends and family as your therapist. While they may love and care for you, they'll never know exactly what you're facing or the right way to deal with it. You'll only end up allowing more hurt to happen - to you or to them - and possibly damaging relationships.

3. Being 'friends' and being 'friendly' are two completely separate things. You get to choose what you want it to be.

4.. A thought is not a feeling. A feeling is not a thought. And neither of them are facts.

5. Think about what you think about, and the labels used against yourself. Be aware of the storylines you tell yourself.

6. You are not responsible for how others respond to your truth. Remember that this works both ways.

7. Negative thoughts happen, but be careful with what influences behaviour.

8. It's okay to let others know what you need.

9. Read this again, and again, and again.
