The Story So Far

November Lessons for Learning

November was one of those odd adult-ing months. One where truths and realities about being a grown up hit you hard and you're pretty much forced to stop ignoring them, so here they are (in case I forget again):

1. Manage your shit! And by 'shit', I mean money.

2. Savings are important. VERY important. Along the way, you may find that you only have $4.76 in your bank account. That will be when you wished you did actually set aside some savings / didn't spend so much on unnecessary shit you never use again.

3. Have insurance. (still need to get this sorted. ugh)

4. Get an accountant. It's easier when someone else does the math for you.

5. You won't be young forever. Eat well. Wake up at 5.30am and work.those.glutes!

6. Money can actually buy happiness.

7. Be okay with your beliefs.

8. Hard times cannot destroy you. They will however make you feel like a complete piece of shitty failure while you play sad songs on repeat about why the world hates you in particular - that's just a part of the process. Bawl your eyes out, question everything and rise stronger.

9. You will never be able to do everything, please everyone and be human all at the same time. Figure out what your priorities are and above else, make time for yourself. There is no perfect person and more importantly, there isn't a need to be one.

10. Letting other people down is just another part of life.

11. Everything changes.
